The final race of the British Superkart Championship is over and with it the last opportunity for the drivers to secure their position in the standings.

After breaking the Cadwell Park circuit record for Superkarts, Sam Moss was the one to watch in this afternoon’s race (Sunday 29th August). The racing at the top of the grid between Moss and fellow Division One competitors Lee Harpham and Ross Allen was incredibly intense, with the drivers shifting positions throughout the session, until Moss increased the gap between himself and Harpham by two seconds and crossed the line as the victor.

F250 National driver Lee Plain once again took lead of the class ahead of #56 kart Michael Goff. In his final race of the weekend, Plain clocked a best lap time of 1.26.526, four seconds ahead of runner-up Parr. Closely behind was F450 National race winner Charles Johnson, who stormed ahead of his class and finished within the top ten. With his past achievements within the F125 class, it was expected that multiple race winner Tom Riley would claim another pole position. However, after unfortunately spinning off the track, this gave his closest competitor Michael Parr to secure the race win and finish his weekend at Cadwell Park on a high.
