Division One driver Ross Allen claimed his second race win of the weekend at a drying Mallory Park race circuit.

The English driver had a near perfect weekend as the #5 kart notched up fastest time in qualifying and two race wins. His nearest challenger for most of the day was fellow Division One driver Carl Kinsey who led for most of the final race. Mechanical gremlins made their way into the #3 Anderson on the sixth lap, dropping Kinsey down the order and out of the proceedings.

Taking advantage of Kinsey’s demise was round two winner Lee Plain who fought his way to second and top F250 spot while Michael Goff rounded out the top three, also in a F250 kart.

Ronan McClintock was the best of the F450 drivers while Tom Riley enjoyed a clean sweep in the 125cc class to take three wins on the bounce.

The next round of the British Superkart Championship will be in Anglesey in North Wales (10-11 July).
