Division One driver Ross Allen topped the times at Mallory Park for the first qualifying session of the year for the British Superkart Championship.
Allen was quickest in morning free practice and continued his table-topping form in qualifying, setting the pole time on lap six, with ross wringing the neck of his superkart to put him on pole by over one second.
The optimum lap time window was cut short with a short-sharp downpour towards the end of the session and the order was firmly decided by the fall of the flag. Carl Kinsey will line-up second in his Division One kart, while Lee Plain rounds out the top three in his F250 machine. In fourth, Kirk Cattermole (F250) with Michael Goff completing the top five
Leading the F450 runners was Ronan McClintock who lines-up sixth, while Tom Riley in his 125cc machine will sit in eighth.
The first race will begin at 12:40 with race two 15:00 and the final contest at 17:30.
